Unlike the Backward Induction, the Forward Induction would start from the beginning of the sequential game, and at each history , it would take the previous actions (history) into consideration to deduce the players’ types and strategies.
While the Backward Induction focuses on the optimal actions at each subgame, the Forward Induction emphasizes the interpretation of actions taken earlier in the game.
